Nowadays, with the development of technology, the industrial field grows more complex. In petroleum, chemical, and other environments with explosive gases or dust, electrical equipment is both a production power source and a potential ignition hazard.

Traditional explosion-proof technologies work, but they come with drawbacks: high costs, poor heat dissipation, complex designs, and strict construction site requirements.

ATEX Welltech's explosion-proof positive-pressure welding system — a safety solution engineered to prevent explosions — offers a unique and efficient approach. Using pressure difference principles to maintain a safe internal micro-positive pressure environment, it cleverly resolves these issues and eliminates risks. The specific details are as follows:

Overall, the control logic is straightforward: When the system power is stable, users can start it up. Once the explosion-proof control box’s touchscreen confirms external detectors are functioning normally, activate the equipment — the ex air conditioner and fan will supply clean gas to the welding habitat. Besides, equipment inside the habitat draws power from the control box via an explosion-proof docking plug. If external sensors detect abnormal gas levels in the habitat, the system instantly cuts power to all equipment and triggers an audible-visual alarm.

During the process, there are three key modules: air intake & ventilation system, pressure monitoring system, and pressure control system.

The air intake system includes pipes and filtration units. Pipes deliver clean gas (air or nitrogen), while filters remove impurities and moisture to ensure purity. The pressure monitoring and control system features high-precision pressure sensors, intelligent controllers, and flammable gas detectors. Sensors track pressure in real time, gas detectors check for flammable substances, and the controller adjusts air intake/exhaust based on preset values.

Integrated into ATEX Welltech's welding system, these three components provide a safety shield for safe operations — especially offshore platform work.
