Hot Work Habitat
Hot Work Habitat
The Hot Work Pressurized Habitat is a mobile, airtight and positive-pressure safety operation habitat specially designed for offshore oil and gas platforms, petrochemical plants and flammable & explosive high-risk areas. Its core function is to create an absolutely safe enclosed space for hot work such as welding, cutting and grinding in hazardous environments where production cannot be halted and flammable gases are present, thus enabling safe hot work in Zone 1, Zone 2 and other dangerous areas. It is an essential safety equipment for offshore oil and gas operations, petrochemical maintenance and offshore engineering projects.
In the explosion-proof operation environment of offshore engineering, its working principle is to use its own pressure control system to keep the internal pressure of the habitat slightly higher than the external environment, forming a continuous outward air flow barrier to prevent the infiltration of external flammable, explosive and toxic media, while expelling the harmful fumes generated by operations inside the habitat.
Its core modules and functions are as follows:
Differential Pressure Transmitter: Monitors the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the habitat in real time, regulates pressure accurately and provides immediate feedback on abnormal pressure differences.
Ex Fan: Continuously injects clean air into the habitat to support smooth operation.
Ex Control Box: Centrally controls the operation of the entire system with an explosion-proof design adapted to high-risk environments.
Ex Air Conditioner: Intelligently adjusts the temperature inside the operation habitat to alleviate discomfort caused by high-temperature working conditions.
Gas Detector: Precisely detects harmful media such as flammable gases and hydrogen sulfide, and issues immediate early warnings when gas concentrations exceed the standard.
Audible and Visual Alarm: Emits high-intensity light and sound to alert operators at the first time in the event of the following dangerous situations: abnormal pressure difference, excessive gas concentration and equipment failure.
